IG Transportation is a full-service freight transportation provider located in Addison, IL. Since 2002, our team has successfully managed logistical operations and delivered exceptional customer service to our clients, our fleet has more than 350 trucks. IG Transportation provides hauling solutions for companies across the country in a variety of industries, with concentrations in industrial/medical equipment, automotive/aircraft parts, solar, and engineering products as well as food and beverage industry.
Operating all across the North American continent, our top priorities are safety and security of our customers’ freight. The entire IG Transportation vehicle fleet is completely updated with only 2023 or newer models on the road which is constantly renewing. The fleet is composed of Freightliner Cascadias, Coronado trucks equipped with Dry Vans, Flatbed, and Conestoga trailers. Our commitment to safety and security has allowed us to work with large companies, such as: Tesla, Medtronic, Caterpillar, General Electric.
By being one of the approved Department of Defence carriers IG Transportation provides first class logistics solutions for military freight as well. In addition, all of our drivers bring years of experience and a clean public record to their positions. For customers having delicate, sensitive or high valued freight that must be fully weather protected, but can’t be hauled on a Dry Van, IG Transportation is using brand new custom made CONESTOGA trailers. A Conestoga is a special type of flatbed that has build-in sliding tarps. This type of trailer is often requested by shippers who want their product to remain weather protected, but can’t be touched by tarps. Upon properly securing the load, the driver doesn’t cover the product with tarps, but simply moves the sliding tarp system over the trailer in a matter of seconds. This type of equipment saves time during freight loading and unloading, for both drivers and customers.
IG Transportation can proudly claim the largest fleet of Conestoga trailers in the Chicago area. They are custom made fully retractable low profile 53` trailers. With an interior height of 103” and 103” width on the inside. These are full aluminum trailers that can open up from both front and rear of the trailer for maximum convenience while loading the cargo.

Dry Van shipping is the most common method for transporting freight across interstates. A dry van is a standard trailer that does not need to be temperature-controlled and is designed to carry freight that is loaded on pallets, packed in boxes, or otherwise secured within the trailer. Because of this versatility, dry van trailers are ideal for shipping nearly any type of goods or equipment that fits within certain size and weight limitations.
IG Transportation’s Dry Van trailers are 53′ long, 102” wide and 110” tall. These are plated Utility trailers, equipped with wooden floors, Tall Bottom Rail, swing doors and E-Tracks every 1 ft. All trailers are air-ride and fully vented, and can haul up to 45,000 lbs of cargo or 26 standard pallets (52 stackable pallets).
